PearMe ("we," "us," "our") operates the PearMe mobile app and website. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

Account information: email address and password, handled securely via our backend provider, Supabase.

Profile information: display name, username, bio, avatar, and location, which you provide voluntarily.

App activity: titles you bookmark, watch, favorite, or rate; episodes you track; people you follow; search queries; and posts, comments, and likes you make.

Communications: any feedback or support messages you send us.

How We Use Information

We use this information to operate the app's core features, including tracking your watchlist, showing content to people you follow, and improving search and recommendations. We do not sell your personal information.

Third-Party Services

Supabase provides our backend, including database, authentication, and storage.

The Movie Database (TMDB) provides movie, TV, and cast data. We query TMDB's public catalog; we do not share your personal information with TMDB.

Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your account at any time directly within the app (Profile → Account → Delete Account). When you do, your profile is immediately anonymized and you're signed out and can no longer log back in. Some underlying activity data may be retained afterward for legitimate business, operational, and audit purposes, but it is no longer tied to your identifying information. You can also request deletion by emailing support@pearme.tv.

Children's Privacy

PearMe is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
